The Chrysler Group LLC has had their ups and downs just like every other car maker recently.  Their bounce back might not be as fast as they want, but in the process, they have dived up vehicles that have caught our eyes.  The Dodge Charger has been a vehicle that has been quite popular, the retro Challenger is a vehicle that have consumers dying over.  The Chrysler 200 debut has hit the market strong, waiting to see if it actually will get the popularity it is striving for.  Now, Chrysler has announced that it will selling an eight speed transmission that will achieve about 31 MPG.  You might not find these at your used car dealer Tampa Bay.

This is a remarkable number for the full size vehicles that Chrysler intends to put the transmissions in.  The vehicles that will debut the eight speed transmission are the 2012 Dodge Charger and the 2012 Chrysler 300.  This number certainly will catch the eyes of many consumers due to the fluctuation in gas prices and most consumers like space when they have to commute.  Most consumers like the full size vehicles but not necessarily the mpg numbers.  With Chrysler making this improvement, it will strike many consumers to trade in their present vehicles, to have the best of both worlds.  Style, room and fuel efficiency, are all at the top of the list for priority for many consumers.

General Motors did announce they too, will have an eight speed transmission.  There was no word of when they would have them available for consumers or even what vehicles would debut it.  Either way, Chevrolet will have competition for Chrysler, we will see who ends up to be top dog.

2012 Nissan Leaf 300x204 Nissan Adding Features For 2012!Nissan is changing some of the standard features for the 2012 Nissan Leaf.  Along with the changes of the standard features, the price of the Nissan Leaf will also increase.  All of this, on the eve before Nissan prepares to sell the Leaf across the United States.  On July 25th, 2011, Nissan will start taking orders across the southeast of the United States and Illinois.  Nissan as of right now is only sold in certain states.  The states that have the Nissan Leaf available are California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Texas and Tennessee.  Nissan has stated that there will be additional locations added in the fall.

The latest release of the Chevrolet Volt, that said they will drop the price along with some of the features also.  Check your Sarasota Chevrolet Dealer for the latest in news of the Volt.  The price of the Nissan Leaf Hatchback right now is at $32,780.  That price will jump up with the standard features on the vehicle.  Nissan has added heated seats, steering wheel, exterior mirrors and the car’s lithium battery.  Heating the battery is aimed to keep the range of the vehicle in cold conditions.  Cold conditions can limit or suppress the range of the battery.  The price of the vehicle with the standard features will then be $35,200, now if you opt for the top Nissan Leaf, which is the SV trim level, which comes with a fast charging feature.  The 480v fast charging feature was a $700 additional optional upgrade.  This special port allows the battery to charge about 80% faster in thirty minutes.  This is compared to the 240v that takes approximately eight hours to charge.

Leaf Image 300x199 Nissan Adding Features For 2012!For the first six months, Nissan has sold 3,785 in the United States.  The process of deliveries should come more consistent in the second half of the year due to Japan’s earthquake supply issues have cleared.  Nissan has stated that the production of the 2012 Leafs will be transferred to the Tennessee plant in late 2012.  When the transfer to the Tennessee plant, Nissan will give one more upgrade, which will be the 6.6 KW onboard charger than the 3.3 KW that is available now.  Nissan Leaf is on the rise due to the gas prices that are fluctuating.  It seems that gas went down to tantalize consumers and now it is back up even higher than before.  I cannot wait to purchase a hybrid to save money on gas.

BMW was the top selling luxury brand for the month of may, and outsold models sold at a VA Lexus Dealer although Lexus and Mercedes were two top sellers as well for the month. BMW outsold Mercedes and others and was a leader for the top 2011 luxury brand, and other more affordable models can be purchased from a Honda Dealer Birmingham. BMW had more sales of the 5-Series sedan and the 3-Series sedans, and the 5-Series saw a 16 percent increase in sales compared to 2010. Other vehicles which had an increase in sales can be purchased from a Honda Dealership Salinas.

BMW saw higher U.S. auto deliveries and there were almost 20,000 Benz vehicles sold during the same time period. Daimler said that there were 1.8 percent more sales for the month of May and the company did not include Sprinter vans and Smart cars. Lexus decreased 45 percent in sales last month due to inventory shortages and recalls and Lexus was previously the top selling luxury brand in the United States for 11 year straight. Lexus decreased its lead last year and it looks like this year it will lose out to BMW. Lexus has struggled from a lack of supply and possibly from a negative brand image after there were a number of recalls affecting both Toyota and Lexus vehicles. Other luxury automakers like Audi are also selling in higher quantities and Audi’s sales increased for the month of May as well. The luxury market is getting more competitive and it does not seem that Lexus will be likely to dominate it this year.

The monitor will also track breathing patterns for asthmatics and pollen counts. The system can warn the EMS of a a heart attack or it can warn the driver of a pending heart attack. Texas Honda Dealership is now carrying the all new, 2011 Honda Civic.  It was ranked number 17 out of 33 Affordable Small Cars.  It comes with one engine, a 1.3 liter four-cylinder gas engine that is paired with an electric motor.  It creates 110 horsepower and 123 pound feet of torque.  The Civic has a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), which helps conserve fuel.

Honda has given the Civic a pretty cut and dry protection package.  It consists of three years or 36,000 mile basic warranty and a five year or 60,000 mile powertrain warranty.  Like many vehicles at Mercedes Dealer Pittsburgh, the Civic did very well on crash tests.  They received five stars in front end collision as well as for rear passenger protection in side impact collisions, four stars for front passenger protection in side impact collisions and four stars for rollover ratings.  The Civic comes with a long list of safety features and has more than most small cars.  Some of them include; six airbags, anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake Distribution and brake assist.  Not to mention Vehicle Stability Assist with Traction Control.

Another “Affordable Small Car” to check out would be the 2011 Honda Insight, which can be found at Philadelphia Honda Dealer.  It was ranked numbe2011 Honda Insight blue 300x225 Honda And All Its Small Cars!r 24.  It is powered by an Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system, which has an a electric motor that creates acceleration power and produces like a generator to charge the battery during  braking or coasting. 

Honda has given the Insight and the Civic pretty much the same protection package.   The only difference is Honda covers the Insights Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) battery pack with a warranty package, but you need to check with your local dealership to find out the length of the warranty.  The Insight did very well on crash tests too.  They received five stars for front and side driver crash tests, and four stars for front passenger, side rear passenger and rollover two-wheel drive crash tests.  The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Insight it’s highest ranking of “Good” for front offset and side impact crash tests.  It also comes with a long list of safety featutes.  Some of them include; anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake Distribution, multiple threshold front airbags, front side airbags, LATCH, vehicle stability assist and side curtain airbags.

Both of these vehicles would be nice to own.  Go to your local Honda dealership and test drive a few.  I’m sure you will be able to find something that will fit all your needs.

Teen Driver Teen Driving: Lets Keep Everyone Safe!According to the latest information from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), teens have the highest crash risk of any drivers, at nearly four times that of drivers over 20. In fact, the IIHS says 39 percent of all deaths of 16- to 19-year- olds are caused by car accidents, making it the leading public health problem for teenagers.
